formed as Seven Sins in October of 1998, first a side project for certain Dimmu Borgir and Old Man's Child members, a new entity in shape-shifting Norwegian scene was fast gaining momentum and quickly inked a deal with dominating metal label to record these first ten tracks of their specifically intense and dramatic numbers - originally coming from the extreme scene, at the start they had a fair share of blackness in the sound, but first signs of thrashing influence is also obvious, and it was completely different approach than Aura Noir was writing for example; Susperia paid lots of attention to harmony and intricate layering, what made the music effective and expressive, showing huge potential for the future; authentic German edition
